Sidd growing 4 months old :)-
October 17th, 2008
Second month seemed to be a season of festivals and thus celebrations for Sidd. Sidd’s first festival was the festival of colours yes “HOLI“. As a custom Sidd wore white dress and he was looking awsome, I recall friends and relatives calling him the most eligible bachelor of the time!!!!!!!! It was this month when Sidd smiled for the first time. We started bathing him only in month two as he was a premature child and doctor did not allow to even bathe him in month 1. In this month there were so many friends and relatives visiting Sidd baby!!!! My friend Ashish Shirbhate gave him a big Joker almost equal to his size then!!!!!!! and Sidd loves it a lot!!!!!!
During his first month in the new life Sidd was very very weak imagine birth weight just 1.9Kgs ? His first week he spent only at the hospital “Deshmukh Maternity and Children Specialist”. He was suffering from Jaundice, imagine being in the PHOTHOTHERAPY MACHINE when he was just 4 days old!!!!! On 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th day of his life he was put into this machine so that he recovers from jaundice well.
On the 7th day we were supposed to get a discharge from the hospital and hence Sidd’s nani and I decided to let him be in the machine overnite so that he recovers as much as possible and what a shit,, this so called Load Shedding crap was going on in Amravati and at 4AM when its usually all dark the power was cut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The lil one still in the phototherapy machine and nani and I all scared,, nani running helter skelter and knocking doors in the hospital to look for a candle till the hospital generator was up and running,,, but to everyone’s surprise the Little Mr. Sidd had not worries ,, he did not even cry for a moment,, has to be after all its our son Govind and mine,, brave and tolerant!! 8th day we brought him home at Amravati, and nani got so many things for him. My room rather our room was full of lil clothes, socks, langots :), nappies, baskets and so many toys!!!!!!
First month he slept a hell lot… almost 12 hours a day he used to sleep,, I hardly remember of getting disturbed in sleep due to him,, infact never after the hospital days. He slept well and let mommy and dadda sleep well tooooo!!!!!!!! First month sidd and we were trying to build that bond between ourselves which will become the biggest tie of our life!!!!!!!!! We can say we had a cozy and comfortable first month and we were learning to know each other!!!!
9th February, 2008 was the day when Sidd rolled out of mumma’s womb on this planet earth,,Lemme tell you my son was very very co-operative and quite eager to become a tangible part of our life. Imagine delivering a baby in just 45 minutes ,, all credit to my darling son who co-operated so well that I had almost a painless delivery and Sidd came out fast and safe. The first cry brought so many smiles on so many faces. Mummy and Mamta maasi and Dr. Shobha Deshmukh and Dr. Rajendra Deshmukh along with nurses Sunita and Nilu who were present in the delivery room all amazed and happy to see him and hear his cry. Anxious Nanaji and Naniji outside the delivery room heard the sound too and could not control the happiness. It was 6:44 AM in the morning. Shobha aunty passed on the child into his nani’s arms and she was again doing some surgery on my body,, donn remember what as I was elated to hear the first cry ,,, though didnt see Sidd still as I was being operated still ,, something was happening on the body but who cares till the child was safe. Could hear Nana Nani talking to Sidd. Then Nana made calls to Daddy (Govind), Dadaji and co. (Washim) and Namrata maasi. Then finally Dr. aunty ended up with surgery etc. and brought Sidd to his Mommy Dear,, Oh my!!!!!!!!! that first touch was so very soothing,, felt as if I was experiencing heaven on the earth,, his face soft as petals, his cute lil hands, fingures toes ,, everything was so perfect ,, yes I call it the biggest day of my life,,,then dadaji, dadiji, riddhi, krishh, anju bhabhi all started immediately from Washim to see him,,they were all so happy to see the youngest member of the Innani Family!! Dad started from Pune that too in an ordinary bus as he could not get bookings in good luxury train,, Namrata maasi aspiring to see him but we told no since Shubh was just 5 months in her womb then,, all bhuaji’s Rajshri, Manji and Babbu so excited and so happy,, the loads of phone calls from family and friends all adding to our joys,,,Yes Govind and I felt blessed,, we were indeed blessed with the biggest gift of our life!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our son, our “Siddharth”!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9th Feb was the “BIG DAY” of our life.
